What I Should Expect and Prepare for Web Dev Internship

by Abraham » 2016-02-04 10:17

Hello, friend,

So I've been looking around for some summer job because I had so much time off from uni. I have reached the end of my first year, and has been accepted to start the internship of 4 weeks for a web dev company in a small town not far from me.

I wonder what I should expect and prepare for in advance?
Tips or suggestions would be a big help. Web dev is something I have focused less on over the last year as I thought to develop my skills in C # would be my main priority. So now I'm a little nervous I make myself.

Thank you

Go in with your eyes open and mouth closed. I have been to the shops dev bit and everyone's doing their own way, there is no preparation for it. Know language, know the basic functions you use. The rest is on the job training.
Have a good luck

Get ready to learn quickly. Get someone onboard and productive and actually do something useful and within four weeks is quite difficult. Do not be a stumbling block.

Just calm down and prepare some general questions.
1- Why do you want to do an internship here?
2- What interests you about our company?
3- What makes you an asset to our company?
4- What are your greatest strengths, weaknesses?
5- Do you read industry publications or websites, which one?
6- How do you handle the pressure and some deadlines?

Best wishes for you.

Go with what you want to do it again. In the field of web development there is a good future. If you want to learn the professional stuff you can start off well.
